Ja, ich bin Suchmaschinenoptimierer. An der einen oder anderen Stelle ist es schon durchgekommen. Es ist, wie Oded sagt, ein comfy job. Ich sitze den ganzen Tag nur rum und tausche Links oder mache mal schnell zehn Webseiten. Am Fließband sozusagen. Mein Chef ist 10 Jahre jünger als ich und ein Controlfreak.

 Hier ein ICQ Gespräch zwischen meinem Chef und Ben. Zur Erklärung:  Um tausende Webseiten hochzuziehen braucht man natürlich viele Webhostings. Und der arme Einwanderer aus New York bestellt den ganzen Tag nur Hostings. Was nicht so einfach ist, weil wir bald mehr Webseiten haben, als es Webhostings auf der Welt gibt:

[17:43] Boss: You gotta get in shape.. Talk to Ilan, check how he used to do it. 50 hosting packages is not a big deal to order. it takes time to manage and not to make mistakes, but the order itself.. How can it take more than 20 minutes to order each?
[17:44] Angestellter II: ok, well it’s harder to find decent deals when we have a large amount of the recurring deals. i get asked to do little tasks by people pretty regularly, etc.
[17:45] Boss: recurring deals?
[17:46] Angestellter II: yea, the same hosting companies are repeated daily on the forums
[17:46] Boss: but I sent you sites that has hundreds of hosting packages. if not more [only 50, btw]
[17:48] Angestellter II: i checked through that. there were very few we could actually use
[17:48] Boss: ok.. so share that info.
[17:48] Boss: so we can do some thing
[17:49] Angestellter II: i’m pretty sure i sent it to you let me chcek
[17:50] Angestellter II: the email entitled ‘potential new english hostings’ sent 1/10 (Anmerkung: die mail hatte mein Kollege zwei Wochen vorher geschickt)
